OnlyFans self employed UK
OnlyFans self employed UK is the usual reading when you sell access regularly and intend to make a profit. Are OnlyFans creators self employed? GOV.UK says you are likely to be trading if you are paid for a service you provide. OnlyFans also says you are responsible for your own tax. That is not an employment contract.
Is OnlyFans sole trader the right structure? It is the simplest one GOV.UK describes, and you can be employed in another job at the same time. OnlyFans Self Assessment follows if you need to send a return. Register if you earn more than £1,000 in a tax year. Making Tax Digital for Income Tax already applies from 6 April 2026 where qualifying income for 2024 to 2025 was over £50,000.
What this is not
It is not a ruling on your case. A limited company is a different choice and is not covered here. If you are unsure you are trading, GOV.UK says to contact HMRC.
Questions people ask
Does the platform employ me?
The OnlyFans terms say agreeing to them does not create an employment relationship. You handle your own tax.
