OnlyFans expenses

OnlyFans expenses, for your own records, start with the 20% the platform keeps. That money never arrives in your bank. Your statements show the gross fan payment and your 80% share. Keep both.

OnlyFans business expenses beyond that fee are whatever GOV.UK allows a sole trader to claim, such as equipment and allowable home costs, if they pass HMRC's tests. This page does not invent a percentage of your rent. Check the live expenses guidance, and keep receipts.

Why the fee matters in the books

If a fan pays 10 US dollars, you are not paid 10. You are paid 8, before a chargeback or a bank conversion. Record the fee and the net. A later chargeback can remove the creator share of that payment. That is a reduction, not a new invoice you send to HMRC yourself.

Questions people ask

Can I claim the 20% as well as the net?

You should not count the same pound twice. Record what fans paid and what you actually received. An accountant, not this page, decides the boxes.
