Fanvue vs OnlyFans

Fanvue vs OnlyFans is a comparison of two UK-registered operators. OnlyFans is Fenix International Limited in London. Fanvue is Shift Holdings Ltd in Ruislip. Both take a standard 20% and leave the creator 80%.

The Fanvue vs OnlyFans difference for a UK creator is the age-check write-up and the referral maths. Fanvue publishes Ondato, a 12-month referral window for sign-ups from 9 April 2026, and a USD 50,000 cap. OnlyFans' referral percentage did not load on the day we checked.

Creator shareVerified The standard creator earning rate is 80% of gross revenue from paid-for services. Fanvue keeps 20% as platform fees unless a written deal says otherwise. A help article dated 22 September 2026 says the 85% rate offered to creators who joined in 2022 has ended and accounts are moving to the standard 80%.Verified Creators keep 80% of earnings. The Creator Center says creators own their content and keep 80% of all earnings.
Platform feeVerified 20% of gross revenue from subscriptions, tips, pay-per-view messages, bundles and custom content, at the standard rate. Promotional rates can change the creator share for a limited time. Partnership rates can be agreed in writing. Earnings are calculated exclusive of taxes and third-party processing charges, and can be adjusted for refunds, chargebacks or fraud.Verified The fee is 20% of the total fan payment and is deducted from each fan payment. That covers subscriptions, pay-per-view and tips, because the fee applies to each fan payment.
Currency and GBPVerified Official figures that are printed in money, rather than percentages, are in US dollars. The dispute admin fee is USD 50. The referral cap is USD 50,000. No GBP price list is published in the earnings policy or the referral policy. Do not invent a sterling subscription price.Verified Official figure: US dollars. All fan payments and creator earnings are transacted in USD. No GBP price list is published in the terms. A UK bank or e-wallet may add its own conversion fee. OnlyFans says it does not control that rate or those charges.
UK payouts and banksVerified Direct bank transfer is on the published list of methods that may be supported. The policy does not name a UK bank, a sort code, Faster Payments, or CHAPS. Crypto is only 'where supported'. Whether a UK creator can choose sterling, rather than a dollar transfer that the bank converts, is not stated.Unverified Unverified which UK banks, building societies or e-money apps are offered. The public terms and Creator Center do not name Barclays, HSBC, Monzo, Starling, Revolut or any other UK firm. They do say the method depends on where you live, and that your bank may charge conversion because earnings are in USD.
Payout speedVerified The standard pending period is 7 days. It can be extended up to 28 days based on verification and activity, and Fanvue says that window can change without notice. Fanvue aims to start a valid payout within 10 business days. Fraud reviews, banking delays and wrong payment details can make it longer.Verified New earnings sit in a pending balance first. The Creator Center example: a tip on 1 June stays pending until at least 8 June, then moves to the current balance and can be withdrawn. You can withdraw manually, or use weekly or monthly automatic withdrawals. How many days a UK bank then takes to show the money is not given as a fixed number. It varies by country.
Minimum payoutUnverified Unverified as an amount. A minimum applies to the withdrawal method you chose. The policy does not print a dollar or pound floor.Unverified Unverified as a dollar or pound amount. The terms say the balance must meet the minimum payout amount, and they do not print that amount.
Chargebacks and refundsVerified Fanvue may deduct a disputed amount from the creator balance, withhold it from later payouts, or recover it. If the account goes over a 1.5% chargeback or dispute rate in any rolling 30 days, Fanvue may charge USD 50 for each extra dispute. That fee can be waived. Referral commission is reversed when the underlying payment is refunded or charged back.Verified If a fan gets a refund or a chargeback from their card provider, OnlyFans may deduct the creator-earnings portion of that amount. Fans agree not to make unjustified refund or chargeback requests. A successful bad-faith request can lead to the fan account being suspended or deleted. No separate per-chargeback admin fee is stated in section 10.
UK creator age and identity checkVerified Creators complete full KYC wherever they are, so a UK creator is in that rule. That is a government ID, a selfie and a liveness check, matched to the ID, through Ondato. Creator ID records are kept while the account is open and for 7 years after it closes. The policy names the UK under Ofcom's Protection of Children Codes, in effect July 2025, as a country where viewers must be checked. Creator KYC is required on top of that, in every country.Verified OnlyFans told Ofcom that UK creators must pass full age and identity verification before opening an account. The same response says a third party checks a photo identity document and a live capture of the face, and that creators also provide an address, bank details and social media information before a manual approval. The terms match the ID-and-photos step. This is the platform's own description of its check. It is not a suggestion to avoid it.
Referral programmeVerified A verified creator can earn 5% of a referred creator's qualifying revenue after platform fees. The window is 12 months if the new creator registered on or after 9 April 2026, and 36 months if they registered before that date. The cap is USD 50,000 per referred creator. The link or code has to be applied at registration, in the same browser session. Paid search ads need Fanvue's written permission. Refunds reverse the commission. Checkout sales are excluded from qualifying revenue.Unverified Unverified as a percentage or cap. The terms say the Referral Program Terms are part of the contract, and they ban Google Ads and similar search ads for promoting a creator account. The referral-terms page did not load on 29 October 2026, so we are not stating a rate, a window or a cap.

Payouts and currency

Both publish US dollar figures, not a GBP price list. OnlyFans holds new earnings for about seven days in the Creator Center example, then you withdraw to a bank or wallet. Fanvue's standard pending period is seven days, up to 28, and it aims to start a payout within 10 business days.

Named UK banks are unverified on both. Being a UK company does not, by itself, mean the credit arrives in pounds.
